Smoke chambers are upside down funnels that sit directly above the damper in a fireplace. They should be gas tight just like the rest of the system as they need to contain moisture, smoke, creosote, & carbon monoxide so that it can’t leach into concealed areas of the chimney or your home. This restoration process is intended to fill small voids and cracks improving the performance and safety. Application is performed by hand applying or spraying a 1/4″ thick ceramic coating over the masonry. We supply & install this specially licensed product.
